What are Quail Studio Editions?

Flourishing on the success of our Essentials collections, our talented Quail designers have evolved our signature designs with the Quail Studio Editions. An updated series of seasonal collections, with modern and sophisticated hand-knit designs using a selection of techniques, textures, and shapes with a fresh look at innovative, on-trend knitwear. Combining the classic sophistication of Rowan and modern flair from Quail Studio to create timeless collections tasteful details and more fitted lines.

We have now released our fifth Quail Studio Editions collections for Spring/Summer 2025. Introducing Edition Five - 12 chic designs in lightweight fibres and combos of beloved yarns that are held double. This collection embraces the essence of late Summer with versatile coordinates, rich textures, and effortless layering all in delicious shades that combine natural charm and Mediterranean elegance. Designed to transition seamlessly from day to night, these timeless knits create comfort with style.

Embrace the invigorating qualities of Spring with the inaugural Edition One. Slipovers, tops, sweaters, and cardigans in a refined palette of fresh greens, crisp whites, cool blues and rich neutrals that work together for the perfect trans-seasonal wardrobe. The Quail design team have created statement pieces with stripes, checks, diamond detail, and eyelets, worked in Rowan Summerlite DK, Softyak DK and Cotton Cashmere using simple stitches and textured stitch techniques

In Edition Two, the second issue in the series, the team have produced a stylish, wintry collection of luxurious hand-knit designs. Think cosy cabin, roaring fire and nowhere to be except snuggled up cosy and warm. Or the perfect country getaway with strolls by the lake or relaxed dinners with loved ones. Using caramel tones and soft pastels in key wardrobe basics including a long, textured cardigan, a classic roll neck jumper, loungewear-ready sweaters and a beautiful, cabled dress. Snug cowls, textured beanies and a classic beret make the perfect finishing touches.

Capturing a feel of casual summer luxury, Edition Three is a collection of sophisticated and breezy cardigans, slipovers and cover ups. Jumpers and tops with delicate detail and irresistible textures. Celebrating much-loved Rowan Softyak DK, Cotton Cashmere, Handknit Cotton, and Four Seasons Cotton yarns and photographed with a serene botanical vibe.

Edition Four is a chic collection of minimalist silhouettes worked in elegant winter whites and enhanced with intricate details in a neutral canvas just waiting for you to add your favourite dash of colour. Rowan Kidsilk Haze, Alpaca Soft DK, Pure Cashmere, Alpaca Classic, Kid Classic, and Brushed Fleece all get a chance to shine. Exclusive cardigan, jumper, and accessory patterns all displayed in a warm light and with natural elements, each one more tempting than the next.
